Do you know what you are paying for when you hire an agent from various brokerages? How many agents did you interview to find out your different options? There is no one size fits all situation. Here I compared two fabricated agents from two different fabricated companies. Compare all agents based on what they charge you and what services they provide for your money. Here, Agent A works for a large company, pays 6% off the top to a corporate office and 20% after that to the brokerage itself. Then, they have more fees based on your individual needs. Agent B works for a small brokerage with no corporate fees, has a higher 90% commission split and simply makes more money. Therefore, Agent B has more negotiating power. You wouldn’t know that unless you ask where your money is actually going and what exactly you are getting for it. Choose wisely.
